About Us
TheHilltowns.com was started in 2001 by Wayne Woodard. It all started when Wayne wanted to see what was going on in Catskill one weekend, but found he had no easy way to find out. Wayne decided to pull together resources from several different sources to produce a single website with relevant information or links to that information.
In 2004 my wife and I moved to East Berne from Illinois. We quickly found ourselves lost, needing information about products, services, and local businesses. One of the resources we found very useful was TheHilltowns.com. So, in 2007 when Wayne needed someone to take over the site and domain, I thought why not me?
Going forward, I hope to make TheHilltowns.com useful for both current and future residents of the Hilltowns of the Capital district of NY. Please contact me if you have specific requests, ideas, or just want to say hello.
